SMASHFEST® BRINGS NHL PLAYERS & GUESTS TOGETHER FOR A NIGHT OF PING PONG & FUN IN SUPPORT OF RARE CANCER & CONCUSSION RESEARCH
DYHA players and families have been given the opportunity to participate in the 2021 SMASHFEST - an event that brings NHL players and guests together for a night of ping pong and fun in support of rare cancer and concussion research.
Attendees can compete in the Smashfest Pro-Am Doubles Tournament, cheer on their favorite player in the Smashfest Singles Tournament, and enjoy face to face interactions and conversations with players throughout the evening.
NHL players & celebrities scheduled to attend: Adam Fox, Chris Kreider, Charlie McAvoy, Colin Blackwell, Spencer Knight, Trevor Zegras, Alexander Kerfoot, Connor Clifton, Jack Rathbone, John Hayden, Connor Carrick, Martin St. Louis, Patrick Sharp, Ryan Shannon, Mike Richter, Dominic Moore, Brian Boyle, Kathryn Tappen and more!

Attention all Girls born in 2013 or 2014 interested in playing girls Ice Hockey!
For the past number of years our U8/Mite Ice Cat offering has been a supplemental one. This year we are going to have a more enhanced offering.
We are going to be offering a full travel Mite/U8 team as well as a supplemental team (similar to what we have done in years past). A few things to note regarding the differences between the two offerings:
Full travel offering:
Team will be coached by Kelly Babstock
Will have two practices and two games per week
The team will play together in the DYHA Mite House league
Participation in local jamborees
Your child will be placed on a DYHA or NCWC house team
Will have one Ice Cat practice and game per week, in addition to any house events
We will have a coach assigned to this team
As for the details of the program:
We will have two evaluation skates we need your daughter to attend:
AUGUST 31st, at Stamford Twin Rinks West 5:30 - 6:30PM
September 2nd at Stamford Twin Rinks East 5:10 - 6:10PM
Who can participate:
Any girl born in 2013 or 2014 is eligible to attend the evaluation skates
Any girl not currently on a full or supplemental travel team for NCWC, DYHA or any other program
Any girl looking for a more comprehensive approach to girls hockey skills development with a continued emphasis on nourishing a passion for the game in the irresistible setting of an all girls sports environment!!!
