DYHA OPEN BOARD POSITION

Please see below for positions that we are currently looking to fill on the DYHA Board.  Thank you for your consideration.

 

Assistant Registrar
DYHA is currently seeking an Assistant Registrar. This individual will transition into the role of Registrar and pending a board vote will join the DYHA board next July. The Assistant Registrar will:


-Work together to ensure all returning and new players are appropriately registered

-Participate in the registration elements of travel tryouts and house evaluations

-Ensure all players, coaches and volunteers are in compliance with USA Hockey registration requirements.

Assistant Scheduler

DYHA is seeking an individual for the role of assistant scheduler. This individual will transition into the role of scheduler and pending a board vote will join the DYHA board next July. This individual will:

-Create a weekly practice and game schedule for DYHA and Ice Cat teams.

-Work with house and travel directors to provide ice to teams to promote player development and games.

-Obtain required ice for DYHA and Ice Cat programs for rink partners.

-Proficiency with Microsoft Excel is necessary. Programming knowledge is helpful but not required.

The DYHA scheduler is a board level position with regularly scheduled meetings held one evening per month with special meetings held sporadically.

Connecticut Hockey Conference (CHC) Representative:

DYHA is seeking an individual to join the board in the role of CHC Rep for an immediate opening.  This individual will:
 
-Be required to vote on CHC matters on behalf of the membership of DYHA.
 
-Proactively communicate information learned at CHC meetings to the DYHA Board. 
 
-Serve as DYHA’s registrar for USA Hockey purposes. 
 
-Ensure that DYHA volunteers, players and coaches meet all SafeSport and Background Screening requirements. 
 
This position will require an individual who possesses strong communication and organizational skills.  The CHC Rep role is a Board level position with regularly scheduled meetings held one evening per month with special meetings held sporadically.  In addition, the CHC Rep is required to attend monthly CHC meetings that are held in West Haven.
